FOLK SARDINE

BAIXA – ALFAMA – GRAÇA – VIEWPOINTS

As they say, the proof is in the sardine. So we warm up at the Praça da Figueira and the Rossio before we explore the most authentic side of the city. With our good old St. Anthony’s blessings, we shall go to the Lisbon Cathedral, and then, see some sights near St. George’s Castle. Make sure to spare your voice at the Flea Market, because next up is the old Lisbon, sung to the key of fado and desgarrada, in the famous neighbourhood of Alfama. And by the end of the hour, we pass by the Casa dos Bicos towards a grand finale at the Praça do Comércio. Lisbon? Now you’re on the trolley!

BOHEMIAN SARDINE

BAIXA – CHIADO – BAIRRO ALTO – ESTRELA

On this route, our Sardine tastes of the Portuguese capital’s history. Actually, this sardine just came out of its can, all fancied up to go see the Chiado and the São Carlos theatre. Then we follow along the Glória Funicular till the magnificent view of São Pedro de Alcântara. 60 minutes on the grill are more than enough for a ride to the Príncipe Real Garden, right before moving through Bairro Alto and the Camões Square. The cultural treat then wraps up with two last tidbits: the Rossio and the Santa Justa Lift, to end our trip on a literal high note.

Recommended!

Took a tour with Mario yesterday and it was truly the best money I have spent while here in Lisbon. Enjoyed the Pot Luck tour filled with many historical facts and some of the best views of the city. I would recommend this Tuk Tuk to anyone travelling in Lisbon. If you’re in the Lisbon area call Mario and take a Tuk Tuk.

Wonderful tour of Sintra and Pena Palace thanks to Nuno!!

We took a tuktuk ride with Nuno and he offered to take us on a tour the next day to Siintra. Nuno was amazing! We saw the majestic Pena Palace and then onto the quaint village of Sintra. We had lunch at the place he recommended and it was excellent. If I had to do our vacation over again the only thing I would change is to have scheduled Nuno for two additional days. He was pleasant, informative, and made the day amazing for us. Best money we spent all week!

Excellent Lisbon & Sintra Tour

On the first day we enjoyed Lisbon city tour by this tuk tuk. We were very happy to visit several important places on tuk tuk within two hours. Next day Mario took us to Sintra in a private Sedan. He took good care of us and was with us for the full day showing us all important places including Pena palace, Sintra village and Roca Cape. The scenic drive in Cascais along the Atlantic coast was very impressive. Mario is an excellent person and great guide.

Absolutely brilliant experience!

Took a couple of tours around the city with Nuno and all of them were just amazing. Very knowledgeable and charismatic guide, feels like travelling with a friend. He made his programs interactive and vivid and it looked like they were tailored specifically for us. He showed us how beautiful and diverse Lisbon is, don’t think we would have got the same impression otherwise. Our friends are planning to be in Lisbon in a few months, will definitely share the contacts and recommend as a must do thing.
